How To Turn A “I’m Too Tired” Into A Come And Get Me Big Boy

Tags: , , , , , , , , ,

When you hear your lady say she’s too tired to make love, you need to understand that more often than not what she’s really saying is

I have given all I’ve got to everyone else and I have nothing else to give.
I need time for me.
I want someone to hold me.
I want someone to talk to me.
I want someone to be my “nurse” for a little while.
I need someone to care about “me” for a change.
I want someone to make me feel better

Now that you understand what shes really saying, you have a couple of choices to make. You pick the result you want from the following choices and carry out the instructions

Result 1 0 chance of S E X for the next several weeks

Tell her you despise the day you married her and that if there weren’t kids involved, you would dump her in a minute. Then, ignore her while making it very clear you are extremely mad at her for not putting out.

Result 2 10 chance of S E X tonight

Turn on your “best-behavior” and tell her you love her and that you understand how she feels. Ask her if you can get her a cup of hot tea or something. Then ask her if she would like for you to rub her feet.

The real point is that you are too late. You didnt take responsibility for making sure she was turned on and ready by bed time.

Thats right! As a man, you are the one who needs to take responsibility for turning your lady on so that she is ready for you.

Unfortunately, you may well be too late to change anything for tonight. But, the good news is that tomorrow is a new day. Tomorrow, you can cause things to be different.

What are you going to do to turn your wife on? What needs to happen so that you get a different response besides Im too tired from her?

When you come up with the answers, then your job is to implement!

OCD Victim Why we do what we do

Tags: , , , , ,

Where does an OCD sufferer begin to start? to explain what compels them to do the things that are slowly destroying them inside or the people around them.
Catch 22
Do you suffer in silence to please your loved ones or show them the door?

Being an OCD sufferer for as long as I can remember has left me a dedicated addict to Temazepam.
The tablets will help was the doctors very words. I also recall him saying, how I would kill myself if I carried on doing what I was doing.

Those life threatening rituals regardless of those words of wisdom from my local GP are still being carried out.

Prescription prescribed one psychologist.

How could he help? Questions raised by the psychologist were that of my childhood. Questions like was I abused as a child. Well if that being the case I certainly was not going to confide in or tell a complete stranger.
Some things stay hidden in the closet and are taken to the grave.

Most OCD victims may have suffered at some stage in their life some form of abuse.

In a way this makes sense, but what of our fellow sufferers with no abusive upbringing where do the answers lie?

So severe is the urge to cleanse ourselves, we enter into another world where we find contentment in releasing our energies in habitual rituals that we no longer have control over.

Is there a cure? Yes of course, all we do is stop what we are doing, how?

By not committing ourselves to listen to those little voices in our heads any longer.
Demon’s who cast an opinion on how we run our lives. What right have they to enter our heads uninvited? Rid of these devils and we have the antidote for the poison inflicted upon us.

For an invisible force they win hands down every time.

Help comes in many forms as in i.e. medication relaxation classes, herbal tonics etc. Depending on the individual and of course how severe the symptoms

Therapies differ and do work with high success rates for many sufferers. Recommending what is best for you is out of my jurisdiction we all differ greatly in our needs to find the cure.

The first step on the road to recovery is to face up to the problem. Will this cure me you ask? No, but it will certainly slow down the process of putting yourself into an early grave.

OCD is about speed, the quicker one job or task is done; it is time to move onto the next. This death sentence that I have imposed upon myself is challenged each day by slowing down.

Do a little research on the illness to find how you can help yourself; this helped me greatly in my search for freedom
Finding the time to read was another step forward, because to have done this. I knew I had then put another chore on the back burner.

Half the battle is won for a victim of OCD if they can be heard in the way that they want to be understood.

A move in the right direction is to talk to fellow sufferers of this self destroying disease.

2 of the population are victims to this uncontrollable force behind why we do what we do.

Alienate these aliens by becoming a force with other OCD victims in the battle against self destruction because that is exactly what it is, Self Destruction.

And the most dangerous accomplice on this mission is YOU.

Food addiciton!

“Hi, I have had a weight problem all my life. But I think it is more of a pleasure problem It is also a self esteem of issue. Food was always a reward or “to keep me happy” kind of thing. Food is a happy gathering kind of thing… holidays.. going out to eat..sweet cakes on my birthday. Even as a baby I am sure that I was given food when I wasn’t given personal attention.
Diet’s are a form of restrictions. When a person is on a “diet” it is like a statement to everyone around them that they are trying to lose weight. They are telling the people around them they can only eat a certain foods… That food is the food that is on the diet. It is a form of restriction on a loved one. They now have to show their love by helping me stay on a diet. With a “diet” it seems easier for a person to watch me sweat and work out harder to obtain that new weight that I have set for myself.
I seem to think that being one of the reasons for me being fat. As a baby, a child is given a bottle to drink to make them happy and stop crying. Even I give myself pleasure with food. I have learned to have pleasure from food.
Now diet, is a plan of food a person eats for life to keep a certain weight. OK.. the rules change, and now my self esteem is up and I am worth surviving. Yes, it is a survival issue. Eating too much can kill me.
Of course the story of being fat isn’t that easily answered or talked about. There are many other factors on the way I think about this issue. There is much more to it. Much, much more.
And this wonderful web site and you wonderful gals are helping me. Women need more self esteem on many issues. Women can and deserve to be happy. ”

Thank You Peggy for allowing me to share your post in my blog.

For people with an emotional addiction for food, losing their extra weight is a lot harder than eating less food and getting on the treadmill. Many people are over weight because they are suffering with an inner issue. They will use food as an emotional void filler. The only reason they are hungry is because they are sad. They have confused hunger with sadness. They use food as their drug to feel calmness. They will eat and space out as an addict does after a fix. They will also fall into the roller coaster of self-loathing. Loathing the fact that they once again fell into the unnecessary need for food.

People that are obese and actually have lost weight, are of two minds. They feel like they are someone else when they are thinner and live a life where they fear that they could fall into that food addiction at any second. The other mind is the one that is consumed with self-disgust and a weakness for the addiction of food. People with eating addictions love and hate food. Again being of two minds. They try to justify themselves, by criticizing people without food addictions. They will drive by fast food restaurants and debate within themselves, only to increase the need for food. Which only causes them to devour even more than usual. They are in a constant battle with, should I or shouldn’t I. I know I shouldn’t but I so want to. It’s a viscous circle for them.

One of the hardest things for obese people to deal with is the whispers and snickers from other people as they pass by them. They know well enough that they disgust people just by watching their reactions, yet is is not enough to make them stop eating. Obese people are ridiculed in public all the time and they loose out on many relationships because the other person cannot understand their addiction for food. Food addicts will even ignore that they are literally killing themselves with every bite that they do not need. They choose to not think about it, as any addict does.

Some will say that solving food addiction is as easy as just telling people to stop being lazy, to exercise and to stop over eating. For them, food means so many things besides fueling their bodies with nutrients. Their addiction will totally over rule their nature to protect themselves, health wise or societys concerns about appearance.

Depression, low self-esteem, history of abuse, poverty, family obesity and emotionally troubled childhood upbringings are a few of the greatest causes that trigger off food addiction. As I said earlier in this article, people are desperate to fill an emptiness. Food is the easiest route to reaching that full feeling they desire. Emotional emptiness is the monster that creates the addiction in obese people.

You would think that with all the methods that have proven to help people with their weight issues, there would not be a single overweight person, but the numbers are growing faster every day. Obesity is one of the only health issues the we know how to battle and prevent, yet we fail to do so.

Why is that?

Is it because FAT is one of those HUSH words?

Do we ignore the overweight issues of others, so not to hurt their feelings?

Are we doing them any favours by pretending it is OK to be dangerously overweight?

Do we feel that if they like themselves like that, who are we to judge them?

Do we think to ourselves, better them than me?

People that are addicted to the food drug are just as imprisoned as any other addict. There is only one way to get off the drug, and that is to seek help. Also they must want to get off this drug, for themselves. They must want to feel good about themselves. To be able to get to that point, they must build their self-esteem and address the skeletons in their closets. This is why I created womensselfesteem.com. This is one road to an addiction-free place in your mind.

As you read in Peggys post, she has finally begun her climb up the mountain to a better feeling person. She wanted to share this with other women that are behind those bars of food addiction. It is beatable. You just have to want to begin the battle.

Again HUGGZZZZ Peggy.

Substitutes for Butter

Tags: , , , , , , , ,

Instead of Butter Use top quality, cold pressed, extra virgin olive oil, from the first pressing, or flaxseed oil. The taste of virgin olive oil is appealing to millions of people around the world, so why not adopt it to your taste?

Flaxseed oil is prized for health reasons and not for its taste. You can always compensate for that by adding spices to the appropriate dish. Lets say you want to add a little flaxseed oil to mashed potatoes, instead of butter. You could add basil, oregano, rosemary, curry, garlic, or any other spice that agrees with your palate.

You can use a little virgin olive oil on mashed potatoes with basil and roasted garlic, but it’s up to the individual’s own taste. At home, we use a little olive oil on toast, instead of butter. Again, you could spice it, but try to avoid salting.

Depending on whose study you read, flaxseed oil contains Omega-3, Omega-6, and Omega-9 Oils.

Olive oil has some Omega-6 value, but it tastes great.

To name a few of the many conditions improved by Omega-3 Oils High Cholesterol Levels, Prevention of Strokes and Heart Attacks, Cancer Prevention and Treatment, Multiple Sclerosis, Allergies, Angina, High Blood Pressure, Arthritis, and Asthma.

To read a little more about the link between cancer prevention and Omega-3 fatty acids, please visit

It goes without saying any further, that omega-3 fatty acids should be boosted in most of our diets.

You will notice, I did not mention, margarine as a dietary recommendation.
Trans-fats are formed as a result of chemical hydrogenation. Depending upon the brand you buy, margarine may contain up to 45 percent trans-fats.

“The problem with trans fatty acids is that your body doesn’t know what to do with them,” said Brian Olshansky, M.D., University of Iowa Health Care professor of internal medicine.

Trans fatty acids trans-fats are linked to diabetes, high cholesterol, sudden cardiac death, obesity, and heart disease.

Expect to see a warning on the labels of food containing trans-fats in the near future. New labeling for foods is expected soon, and total trans-fats contained within a product serving, will be listed. Believe it or not, at least one trans-fat, CLA conjugated linolenic acid, is considered beneficial, but that is another story.

Suffice to say, it would be wise to avoid margarine until all the research is in. At that point, the composition of margarine will probably change for the better.

Tinnitus A persistant high pitched screaming only you can hear. You can hear it 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Sometimes the noise is enough to make you feel you are loosing your sanity. In fact, on a lighter note one could call it “a big fat pain in the ear !”

It may be of little comfort to Tinnitus victims, but experts estimate that approximately 17 of the worlds population are currantly suffering from Tinnitus. If that isnt enough to worry about, almost 60 percent of those who have chronic tinnitus are dissatisfied with their current therapy.

Learning to accept help from the right people is elementary in your crusade to escape the claws of tinnitus. It is essential that you find someone you trust and are not afraid of. Its hard to find someone that will listen to your troubles and problems, especially when dealing with something as complex as Tinnitus.

Most people will listen to you and feel sorry for you. This is only because they cant begin to comprehend what you are going through. These people arent ignorantthey are just human beings, to them you are a probably an image of good health. This is because tinnitus cant be seen from the outside, to the world you look perfectly healthy.
I am sure that these people have their own worries too. Some people may appear to not be interested in your problems or they cant grasp the severity of your situation.

Please dont forget, most people cant even start to get a handle on what you are going through

Fighting Tinnitus often ends up in complete frustration. Tinnitus can only exist if it is fed appropriately and given enough room to breath. Stress and anxiety just adds more fuel to the fire. Fighting tinnitus can be futile procedure that will deplete your most of your energy.

There is an alternative solution.

This is the point I hope to make with my e-book My Best Friend Tinnitus.
If you are suffering from chronic tinnitus with or without hearing loss you have probably been down every one way road there is in your quest for a cure. Thats it though. There is no patent cure. Its that simple and that complicated. YOU are the cure.

This concept sounds too easy to be true. Not only can you learn to accept tinnitus as a part of your life but YOU can teach IT to be a part of YOUR life. You can take control by reducing its importancy.

On this note there are a few sayings that spring to mind. Dont feed the trolls or tame the beast. There is a lot of truth in these words.

Tinnitus can be tamed and manipulated. Tinnitus has incredible power, if you give it authority. Think about what it has achieved by taking over your life. Why not turn the tables and learn from it. Get yourself in the drivers seat and take it for a ride.

My theory isnt based on medical facts. My theory is based on 18 months of misery and depression. At its peak I was suicidal.

Maybe one of the most important steps I took in learning to come to terms with tinnitus was using its power to help me instead of destroying me. Tinnitus is not physical. It cant be seen under a microscope and it cant be measured accurately.

This may seem like simplified thinking, but tinnitus is a power and it can be used.

I used its power to create a new person in myself.
I am using its power to create this very article I am writing.
I used it to loose weight, to stop smoking, to stop worrying, to run a small marathon and last but not least..to help others overcome this dilema

Nothing has ever compelled me to sit down for hundreds of hours and write a book. Nothing has ever been worth the effort.

Yes, there is an easier way out if you are willing to try. The best thing is that you have nothing to loose.

I am not a doctor. I am not a therapist. I am Mr Average..and a darn good coach !

How Stress and Anxiety are Connected to Tinnitus

Tags: , , , , , , , , ,

Stress can cause many problems and exacerbate others, including Tinnitus, or ringing in the ears. Many individuals suffer from this malady and can deal with it on a daily basis until stress levels rise and then the Tinnitus becomes significantly worse.
Of course, there are many different reasons why an individual may develop Tinnitus, but stress and anxiety can intensify the effects of the ringing in the ears. Because of this individuals with Tinnitus need to manage the stress in their lives to minimize the effects.

In general, when an individual suffers from tinnitus the body feels as if it is being attacked at all times. So, the effects are never-ending and the body ultimately responds in a physical way with additional problems like insomnia, anxiety, and even depression. Once these responses occur they only serve to intensify the tinnitus, which is just a violent circle. Because of this it is incredibly important for sufferers to find a way to relax and keep their symptoms at bay as much as possible instead of stressing out and exacerbating them. Of course, this is much easier to say than to actually implement. But, nevertheless, it is very important to make an effort to achieve. Sufferers of tinnitus know this very well and try their best not to stress out because the ringing in their ears only gets worse.

It is unfortunate that tinnitus makes individuals stress out over their symptoms and then their stressing only causes their symptoms to worsen. Fortunately, for individuals with tinnitus there are ways to get stress under control before it gets out of hand and causes the individual worse ringing in their ears. One example of a way to reduce stress is to simply exercise. It has been proven that exercise really helps individuals relax, forget about whats bothering them, and simply enjoy life. Those with tinnitus should exercise every single day in order to relax, forget about their ringing ears for just a bit, and hopefully relax enough to keep the symptoms from getting too bad. Another good option for reducing stress is to take part in yoga and meditation and even have a massage on a regular basis.

Nobody wants to have tinnitus and those who do certainly dont want their symptoms to get any worse than they have to. Due to this individuals suffering from tinnitus should make all efforts to live a low key and relaxing life that has as little stress as possible. And, in addition to this tinnitus sufferers should do their best to exercise and take part in relaxation exercises to keep what stress they do have at bay. Many individuals suffer from tinnitus and of them approximately 90 experience exaggerated symptoms when subjected to stressful situations.
Because of this individuals with tinnitus must do all they can in order to reduce stress in their lives so they may live an enjoyable life.
