Weight loss such a big topic! Every month another book is out by another expert on weight loss. Everyone wants to know the secret to losing weight.

I certainly dont have THE secret, but I do have some secrets, and I want to share them with you in the hope you find them helpful.

Weight used to be a major issue for me. Losing weight was never out of my thoughts, and I cant tell you how many different diets, pills and programs I tried until I discovered some secrets that have worked for me for many years now.

So here they are. I hope they work as well for you as they have for me.

1. Change your focus from losing weight to achieving great health.

I grew up as a sickly child and I was a sickly young adult. I hated being sick and never having energy to do all the things I wanted to do. So I decided to learn about what creates great health.

First I read tons of books on nutrition and became convinced that I needed to switch to organic foods. That was quite a challenge in 1961! There was one coop health food store that I had to follow around Los Angeles because it kept moving locations. But it was worth it! My rule of thumb now is if they didnt eat it 100 years ago, then I wont eat it now. This cuts out most packaged and processed foods and leaves natural, organic food.

2. Learn to read your body signals regarding what feels good to your body and what feels bad.

I no longer read about all the different diets because Ive learned to tune into MY body so that I know exactly what my body needs for great health. Since my body needs different things than your body, no single food plan will work for everyone. Your job is to learn to tune into what gives you energy and what robs you of energy, and what foods create calmness and which ones create agitation. Once I learned what my body needs for great health, I lost weight and kept it off easily.

3. Find a form of exercise that you enjoy and that you can do at least 5 times a week.

I discovered that I love to walk in nature, so I take a fast half-hour walk every day. However, this can be a problem if you have physical limitations or chronic illness. Losing weight with chronic illness or physical limitations is not impossible, but it can be a much bigger challenge.

4. Learn to discern which part of you determines what and when you eat, as well as how much you eat.

We all have a wounded part of ourselves that uses various addictions as ways to deal with feelings of loneliness, aloneness, helplessness, anxiety, depression, fear and anger. Some people may use alcohol, drugs, spending, TV, gambling, sex, and so on to avoid their pain, while other use food. While food may work to pacify painful feelings for the moment, in the long run all addictions backfire and create the very pain you are trying to avoid. Yet our wounded self keeps choosing addictive behavior as a way of managing pain. As long as the wounded part of you is making your food choices, you may continue to have a weight problem.

The part of us that is capable of managing painful feelings in healthy ways and making healthy choices is the loving Adult. The loving Adult is the part of us that has a deep desire to learn about and take loving action in our own behalf. Developing a loving Adult is a major aspect in creating health and wellbeing, as well as in losing weight and maintaining a healthy weight.

5. Learn to connect with a spiritual source of wisdom, strength, love and guidance.

The loving Adult is that part of us that is connected with a spiritual source of guidance rather than being governed by the mind. The mind, bring programmed from childhood, is the home of the wounded self. You are being a loving Adult at those moments when you choose to be guided by a source of wisdom beyond your mind. This source will always guide you toward your highest good. You just need to learn to open and listen.

It is very likely that you will not only lose weight, but will also move into more physical and emotional health and wellbeing if you embrace these secrets into your life. 5 Steps to Successful Self-Hypnosis

1. KNOW WHAT YOU WANT

In this step you need to consider what you want vs. what you dont want and you need to be able to distinguish between the form and the essence.

Instead on focusing on what you dont want, it important to focus on WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE to experience instead, because your subconscious mind says YES to whatever you focus upon. If you dont want illness focus on perfect health, if you dont want lack, focus on abundance, if you dont want to experience stress, focus on experiencing peace, etc.

Sometimes people focus on the form the physical thing instead on the essence
the feeling they would like to experience. If you desire to create or attract a specific thing into your life, ask yourself what feeling do you believe this thing would give you.
By focusing on the essence of what you want, you expand your options.

You may find that there are many other ways to experience that desired feeling even now, and by experiencing that feeling now, you further open yourself to attract the thing you desire.

Many times we chase certain things, only to discover that they didnt give us the feeling we expected to get by having them. And even if the thing you originally had it mind does indeed bring you the desired feeling, this process may bring you further insight into many different ways to enrich your life, to open yourself to many different opportunities that will allow you to experience even more of that desired feeling.

2. CLAIM IT AS YOURS

Once you know what you want, imagine and FEEL that you already have it. Engage as many of your senses as you can and while in a trance state in a state of hypnosis vividly imagine yourself as if you are already enjoying the desired state, thing, circumstances. You may also re-live your life, in your mind, imagining that you have always had this resource, quality, thing youd like to experience.

The whole point of the depth of hypnosis is to allow you to put your conscious mind and the awareness of the outer world aside, long enough that you are able to fully experience your desired experience as REAL for you NOW.

It is good to remember that your subconscious mind does not distinguish between what is outside of you – what you may interpret as real – and what you experience only in the realm of your mind. The subconscious mind concludes that something is REAL, if it FEELS REAL to YOU NOW.

3. CLEAR THE OBSTACLES

Successful self-hypnosis is very much alike planting seeds. You decide what you would like to grow, you plant the seeds by imagining and feeling that you already have the desired outcome. You dont have to concern yourself with how is the plant going to grow it is endowed with intelligence to fulfill its purpose. What you do need to do is pull out the weeds if you notice any.

When you plant seeds of your outcome in your subconscious mind, your doubts, fears, anxieties, conflicting beliefs etc. are weeds you have to uproot. If you believe that it is impossible for you to reach your goal, but you just want to try it, forget about it its not going to work.

If the goal seems to overwhelming, cut it down into smaller, achievable goals goals you believe are attainable for you now. It doesnt matter what anyone else has accomplished. The only thing that matters is what you believe is possible for you.
Other peoples accomplishments may inspire you but whether youd be able to accomplish the same, or less, or more, depends only on what you believe to be possible for you, and on the action you’re willing to take.

Sometimes people look for proofs and assurance outside of themselves, asking other people for their opinions as to whether something is possible or not, yet this only tells their subconscious minds that they are still filled with doubt they dont really believe that they can experience the results they desire, so they usually dont.

The best place to look for proofs when using your subconscious mind is in your own experiences conducting your own experiments.

There is a way to get and create absolutely anything you may ever want to create through the power of your mind. However to overcome your own limitations you either have to have limitless faith, or even better, to do some research and gain understanding why YOU CAN be or have whatever it is you set your heart upon.

This also brings me to the POWER OF DECISION. If you have ever DECIDED to experience something and if you can recall how that feels, you may become aware that at such times your mind was fully focused on your GOAL and even though you might have been aware of possible obstacles on the road, they have not prevented you in reaching your outcome. When you truly DECIDE that you want something, you cut yourself off any other possibility and you COMMIT yourself to having the experience you desire.

4. LET GO AND TRUST

This is probably the hardest step for most people and it may take some practice to totally and completely trust in the wisdom and power of your mind, universe, God, your Higher Self pick the term you prefer to be able to bring into your experience what you asked for.

You may notice that sometimes when you think about something and then you completely forget about it, not even giving it a second thought whether its going to pass or not the thing you thought about, just happens. Thats because you have spontaneously let go by forgetting about it, your subconscious mind was able to take over and create that experience in your life.

Other times you may feel that you want or need something really badly, so badly as a matter of fact, that you cant let it go and as much as you want it you are not allowing it to manifest for you.

When something is really important for you to have and you have no idea where what you need is going to come from, trusting may feel as if you were walking on a tight-rope. With practice, it does get much easier.

Practicing gratitude expressing gratitude for what you need andor desire as if you have already received it will help you to get your mind off the worry, and keep it focused on your goal.

I have written before about gratitude, but Id like to repeat that gratitude will dramatically cut the time it takes to get what you desire, and it will dissolve a lot of obstacles toward getting the results youd like to create using self-hypnosis.

You can thank your subconscious mind, your unconscious mind, God, universe or whatever you like to refer to the power and intelligence within you and all around you that is able and knows how to bring into manifestation every one of your hearts desires.

5. RECOGNIZE WHEN YOU GET WHAT YOU ASKED FOR

Sometimes what you ask for may come into your life in a slightly different form than what you envisioned. It is important to notice and acknowledge that what you asked for has in some form manifested for you.

Sometimes what you ask for may be even better than what you asked for vividly imagined in self-hypnosis.

Sometimes what you ask for may be a far cry from what you wanted. It may be just a signal that what you asked for is on its way. Now is not the time to give up, but to keep on thanking that what you desire or even something better is on its way.

You may also want to re-examine your beliefs, doubts, worries, insecurities, feelings that you dont quite deserve what you asked for, that it would be too good for you, or perhaps that after all, you dont really want what you asked for.

Remember that your outer-world experiences only reflect whats in your mind, so if you dont like what youre experiencing, all you need to do is change your mind about it. If you expect only the best in life, and keep on thanking your mind and the universe God for giving you the best, in joyful expectation of these experiences your outer-world experiences will reflect this.

Acknowledge that everything that happens in your life is forever moving you toward the realization of your goals.

How to Concentrate in 4 Magic Steps

One of the main problems that deter a person’s success is their lack of concentration. Lapses encourage disturbances to get in the way and stall progress. If ones wishes to proceed on their road to success, it is imperative they learn how to concentrate. Here, we show you some easy to learn exercises that are easy to implement.

1 Silence or Noise
Most people cannot concentrate when it is too noisy, but others work better with music or others in the midst of a crowded room. If you are not aware as yet what best suits you, then try out the different environments. How? Take a notepad and a pencil or pen with you and try and write down a letter in all the three circumstances in a set amount of time. Ten minutes. That is all you will need to determine where your source of concentration lies. How? Check not only for length but also for development as that is more important.

2 Focal Point
Every morning, before you leave for work or on the way, stare at any object for ten minutes. You can do this while in the toilet, car or bus. You will find this difficult, but whatever happens, do not move your gaze away. Hold it. Wait. And then, as the minutes pass you will find yourself deeply meditating about things that happened to you yesterday or challenges you have to face in a few minutes. Congratulations. You have just conquered the art of meditation.

3 Deep Breathing
In the beginning, you can do this while staring at the object from tip number two, but if you wish to move towards real concentration, do this separetly. Sit down on the floor. If its hard, place a cushion. Close your eyes. Breathe. Count the number of inhales. When you have reached 100, start counting backwards but this time count the exhales. Mastering this will take you a while, but once you do move on to other kinds of mathemathical calculations such as naming the months of the year from December backwards or alphabetically. After that, make up exercises as you like.

4 Movement
Focus on an animal cat, dog or even ant or bird. Follow their every movement as if they exist in a vaccumm. Study every tiny spot on their body. The point of this is to learn how to diversify your concentration in such a way that movement does not deter you from your goal.

The Hypnotic Way To Health

Hypnosis was once relegated to the realms of entertainment, with stage hypnotists performing to a drunken audience in night-clubs and pubs. Later it developed into a massive money-spinner for TV celebrities such as Paul McKenna. Hypnotherapy made many people wealthy with self improvement hypnosis tapes and videos. Now, however, hypnosis is regarded as a powerful medical tool by the medical establishment!

At its simplest explanation hypnosis can be called a form of mental and physical relaxation but anyone who has experienced a hypnotic state or practised hypnosis on another knows there is a lot more to it than that!

In the USA Harvard medical research teams discovered that surgical wounds healed at a much faster rate when hypnotherapy was employed. They found that people with broken bones healed up to three weeks faster than those who received no hypnosis. In the case of surgical wounds they found that hypnosis not only increased recovery time but also reduced pain, inflammation and scarring!

To list all the uses and successes of clinical hypnosis would take a book. I therefore leave with food for thought. If hypnosis can help heal bones quicker and reduce scarring what else can it do?

The downside of the Holosync technology is that you need to listen to it everyday to get maximum benefit and it also comes in stages as a course. However, Bill Harris insists that you do not need to continue using it and can stop after each stage of the course is complete while permanently retaining all the changes you’ve made. You can of course continue and go deeper into the ‘meditations’ if you wish. The Holosync solution does create deep states akin to meditation and it does remove emotional traumas that are hidden deep in the subconscious mind. To sum up – Holosync does exactly what it says it will do if you follow the instructions.
