How to get clear beautiful looking skin Part 1

Tags: , , , , ,

The following substances discussed below need to be removed from your diet
However, it takes the body time to adjust and only after a couple of months will you get a true and fair picture of whether removing these foods is having an impact. Also, be disciplined if you want a true picture of whether these foods help to cause or aggravate your skin condition. It is no good following the diet for a week or two then eating the odd slice of pizza. You will be cheating yourself and remember the aim is to try improve your condition for ‘your’ benefit.

Yeast

Yeast is the first of the potential food allergies I will explain. I will now list foods that we commonly eat which are high in yeast and that should be avoided

Bread Including Pastry, Pitta Bread and Naan Bread. There are yeast free alternatives to normal bread that are widely available, such as soda bread which I now eat and black rye bread.
Beer
Foods containing yeast extracts. Many foods that you would not expect to have yeast in them have yeast extracts in them. It is advisable to check whether a food has yeast on the food label. Although this can be tedious at first when buying food in a supermarket, I have now become used to it. A quick glance of the label of a certain type of food you are unsure about will show whether it contains yeast. As time progresses, due to a lot of ‘label checking’ you will build up knowledge of foods that contain yeast.
Soy Sauce
Some Frozen Foods

Not only must these foods mentioned above be avoided, the potential growth of yeast in our systems must be avoided.

SUGAR

Obviously most of the foods we eat contain some sugar. Apart from the following foods mentioned another common source where sugar enters our diet is in tea and coffee. Most people drink either tea, coffee or both and often think nothing of having two to three teaspoons of sugar in their teacoffee. Sugar taken in this form especially white sugar can be very refined and processed which is not good for our systems. If you read any magazines or books with articles relating to dieting, de-toxing, skin problems etc. you will commonly find the advice to severely reduce the intake of sugary foods, as it not only greatly beneficial for your skin but your general health as well.

Dairy Products

This means eliminating milk, cheese, yoghurt and other dairy products from the diet. There are a variety of replacements for cows milk, such as Goats Milk which is easier to digest and Soya Milk which also contain first class proteins that are found in cows milk.

Eggs

Eggs are also another well documented source of food intolerance. You may find that if you suffer from a skin condition such as eczema you may unknowingly have an adverse reaction straight after eating an egg. If your condition is aggravated after this it would obviously be a good idea to stop eating eggs.

Red Meat

I have found that omitting these foods from my diet has helped to contribute to the improvement of my skin.

Coffee

Also, note that many other drinks have high caffeine levels such as energy drinks. Tea has caffeine although in smaller amounts then coffee. Some people may think an alternative to coffee would be to have decaffeinated coffee. My friend who has psoriasis used to drink vast amounts of coffee every day, noticed a vast improvement in his condition after he stopped drinking coffee.

Part 2 will contain what other important things which have to be removed from your diet for you to get clear beautiful looking skin.

Tags: , , , , , , ,

Sunburn causes damage to the skin. We may forget the sun burn after we get cured, but our skin does not. It gets hurt permanently. Repeated sunburns damage the skin beyond repair and very early signs of wrinkles, sunspots and other skin disorders appear. You want to remain looking young forever. Am I right? Then know how to prevent getting sun burnt.

Sun Burn- precautions

1. Wear a good sun block or sunscreen that will give you protection against the wide spectrum of UV rays. Reapply after every two hours. If you are very fair, choose a higher SPF- 30. Otherwise 15 SPF is good enough.

2. Use a wide brimmed hat to cover your scalp and face. Sun can cause problems in your scalp and most of the early lesions are found on ear etc. Protect scalp and face with a hat that does not allow light in.

3. Use sunglasses to protect your eyes against UV radiation. Along with that you will also be protecting your skin around the eyes or it will develop crow’s feet much faster.

4. Wear clothing that covers most of the body. Walking with fewer clothes in the sun is a recipe for disaster for the skin.

5. Don’t think that clouds stop UV. They allow a lot of it to enter and hurt the skin. Even if the day is cloudy, take all the above precautions.

By protecting yourself from sunburns you are saving your youth for a much longer time and also preventing any skin cancer.

Beauty Of Tanned Skin – What Is The Cost?

Tags: , , ,

Tanned skin is loved by most of the white skinned people. Who will say that heshe does not like tanned skin? What about the cost of getting tanned skin? I am not talking in term of dollars, but life. It is death due to skin cancer. There are many ideas about tanning that people believe and think that they are safe. Let us talk about them.

Many of us believe that use of tanning oils on skin and then getting tanned is safe. But that is not true. No tanning oil prevents the sun. If it had prevented sun, you would not have got tanned! Tanning skin is only due to the UV radiation and radiation damages and causes skin cancer.

A swim after tanning skin protects the skin. This is another belief of many people. Please note that no amount of swimming after getting tanned saves the skin. Once the skin gets tanned, it is damaged. Swimming without application of a sunscreen is very bad because water reflects more UV radiation. The radiation near the beach is more than on the ground away from beach.

Skin that is tanned is in danger. Protect your life by avoiding all types of tanning. Use tanning cosmetics to get artificial color if you want, but dont damage your skin with tan. Tanning beds, sun lamps and sun all are bad for skin.

Skin ages with time. The aging is not only because of the passing years but also sun exposure. Sun exposure ages skin much faster. The UV rays in the sun damage the skin and the underlying collagen. Let us find out more about what is collagen and how it can be used to get the young look again.

Skin And Collagen-

Collagen is the main material found in the second layer of skin called the dermis. What we see on our body is called the epidermis. Dermis lies just below the epidermis. Collagen and elastin create a structure of mesh and that gives support to our skin. With aging, this collagen reduces and the skin begins sagging. You can see the hollow looking cheeks of old people. That is because of depletion of collagen. By injecting collagen doctors repair many wrinkles and the hollow look.

Skin Treatment With Collagen Injections

To remove the sagging look and the wrinkles, doctors inject or implant collagen with a find needle at the site. The collagen is most of the times of bovine source. Human collagen may also be used. Both types are accepted by a majority of the people. With a little injection you can get your youth again. The body reabsorbs the collagen over some months and you will need the injections again. But that is a small price to pay for the youth you get with collagen. Give new look to your skin with collagen implants. Consult your doctor for details.

Skin Care- Easy Control For Pores To Look Young

Tags: , , , ,

Skin care and pores-

Pores play a major role as far as our looks are concerned. When we have large pores that look still larger when we reach the mirror, we feel disheartened by what we see. There is no need to feel helpless about the pores. Let me tell you how you can look young with tight looking pores.

Skin Pores- pores are for sebum, sweat and hair

Why do we have pores? We have pores so that the hair can come out of them. The pores are an outlet for the sebum. That sebum helps us in having a healthy skin. Sebum protects skin against microbial infections. Sebum also helps keep skin moisturized. Sweat also comes from the pres. sweat, as we all know is important to keep body temperature constant. A pore is important for that.

Pores- why do they enlarge?

Pores may be enlarged due to two reasons. One – genetic and oily skin, two- they look enlarged but are not so. Many of us inherit enlarged pores. We can do nothing about them, except keeping them clean and using makeup intelligently. Those with oily skin also have enlarged pores that can be controlled to a great extent by keeping the oils under control. Many times the excess sebum and dead skin cells accumulate around the pores and make them look enlarged. This problem can be rectified easily.

Pores- exfoliate and keep them open

Keep the pores open by regularly exfoliating the skin with topical retinoids. Use AHAs to remove the dead cells and use pH-balanced cleansers to keep oil under control. This will help you keep your pores clean and they will not look enlarged.
