Hey YOU, listen up

Mother says “A Noni a day,

will keep the doctor away.”

What is the truth about Noni Juice

Hi, my name is John, and I want to let you know the truth about Noni – also known in the world of plants as morinda citrifolia. I am qualified to share with you about this noni information, not only because I am youthful looking, handsome, and sexy guy, but also because I have a Noni plant growing in my back yard.

Yes, right here behind my house in the Philippines, and many of my neighbor’s yards have noni plants also. The black volcanic soil here is excellent for growing the noni plants. My wife went outside this afternoon and picked a small basket of fresh Noni fruit for me for later today. Lucky me!!!

When I drink the noni fruit juice, I like to mix it with a little pineapple juice and

7-Up to make the taste easier to swallow. The seeds are very spicy – like hot peppers — and burn my tongue when I suck on them to get loose the flesh of the fruit.

Was I surprised

The very first time I ate some of the fresh Noni fruit and drank the juice it had an immediate effect on my health. The very next day, I noticed that my back pains had vanished – gone away – and stayed away, as long as I consumed Noni fruit and juice every day. I have had lower back pains for over 40 years. Chiropractors helped, but the pain still did not go away.

Guess what – the cravings I had always had for snacks, junk foods, and sweets disappeared the very next day after taking Noni. I was definitely eating too much and gaining weight. After using Noni, my weight loss problems are gone.

I know – this is all only anecdotal evidence, and not based on any scientific study involving my use of Noni – but I am convinced of the benefits of using Noni. For me – it helps tremendously in making me feel better. It has cleared up a lot of medical and health problems that previously were dogging me.

Just one idea gave me instant wealth

This all started about 20 years ago. The noni fruit that I have eaten for many years has helped me feel healthier, look younger, lose weight, given me youthful skin, with fewer aches and pains of old age. You might call me a “health nut” because of all the health information I am constantly digesting about alternative medicine, vitamins, supplements, minerals, antioxidants, folk medicine, herbals, and so forth.

My body is over 60 years old, but most folks think I am in my late 40′s. My youthful looks are likely due to the various herbs, vitamins, and supplements, including noni, that I take every day. I have been a serious “health nut” for about 20 years now. My studies, research, and use of herbal products have convinced me of the tremendous health value and benefits of herbs in my diet. I have seen my own health and well being improved, sometimes slowly, but always surely. Try Noni yourself – you will see positive changes in your body.

Imagine how good you will feel after taking Noni!

A physician trained at Johns Hopkins studied the affects of Noni on 25,000 Noni juice drinkers and found very positive effects for 29 health conditions in their lives. What can Noni do for you?

Try it for yourself, and see the changes in your body. Imagine feeling as good after using Noni as I do — Imagine feeling good again, looking younger, smoother and softer flowing skin, improved digestion, fewer aches and pains, feeling healthier, lower blood pressure, cholesterol, and sugar levels, strengthen your body’s natural ability to fight tumors, viral, bacterial, and parasitic infections, having more energy, feeling more alert, more energetic, and more balanced. What more could you ask for!

Why should YOU use Noni capsules or juice?

Research studies suggest that the compounds found in Noni may work at the cellular level in the human body to help abnormally functioning cells resume normal function and help normal cells maintain regular function.

There are several theories that may explain why Noni works so very beneficially in the body. Some believe it is a selection of polysaccharides, giving Noni fruit its beneficial effects. Other theories, based on research study findings, suggest that Noni promotes the production of nitric oxide in the body, which has been shown to strengthen the body’s natural ability to fight tumors, viral, bacterial, and parasitic infections.

A more popular explanation is called the “xeronine system” developed by the forerunner in Noni research, Dr. Ralph Heinicke Ph.D. who teamed up with Dr. Neil Solomon, a medical doctor. The Heinicke-Solomon Theory explains Noni’s wide range of effectiveness in the human body.

The ancient Aryan physicians of India especially valued Noni fruit because it protected the skin from becoming dry and cracked from the sun. My investigation of the published scientific literature on Morinda citrifolia yielded more than 100 articles pertaining to this medicinal Noni plant.

After I started taking Noni, I found that I was more alert, more energetic, more balanced, my skin was glowing more than I could ever recall, and my digestion was greatly improved. I attributed the benefits of noni to the interaction of the known components along with the unknown components, which perhaps work synergistically with all the other nutrients to give me optimum health.

Researchers have reported that significant reductions in total cholesterol and triglycerides were seen in smokers who drank a product containing juice from the fruit of the noni tree every day for a month.

Here where I live in the Philippines, and elsewhere, natives use Noni for digestive problems such as diarrhea, intestinal worms, nausea, food poisoning; respiratory problems such as congestive cough, dry cough, tuberculosis, cholera, infant chest colds and sore throat; cardiovascular problems, hypertension; inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, abscesses, mastitis, gout and other inflammatory joint conditions. It is a noted analgesic or pain reliever. One of the most common uses of noni has been in the area of skin conditions, being utilized for wounds, ulcers, abscesses, ring worm, boils, cellulitis, swellings, scalp conditions, including lice, and sores. It has been used in the treatment of tumors and broken bones, jaundice and other forms of liver disease. It has been used to treat asthma and dysentery, hypercholesterolemia, menstrual cramps, gastric ulcers and diabetes.

John lives with his family in the Philippines. Native Noni plants grow in his backyard. He personally uses Noni and Noni Juice and tells how it helped his health problems. Practical Aromatherapy Anti-Viral Properties Of Essential Oils

Antiviral Activity of Essential Oils

The body of evidence regarding the effectiveness of natural botanicals against a great variety of viruses is growing. Over twenty years ago, German scientists found extracts of more than 100 species of the Lamiaceae family to have antiviral effects. This discovery lead to and increase in the examination of essential oils in Europe for the treatment of viral infections.

Essential oils from many plant families have now been demonstrated to have antiviral properties. Interestingly, different plant families exhibit varying degrees of effectiveness depending on the virus strain. This is due to the particular molecular structures found in each type of oil, which penetrate physical entities to varying degrees different tissues, cell walls, mucous membranes, etc. The effect on each virus strain depends also on the virus structure enveloped, non-enveloped, molecular symmetry, etc.

Certainly, one of the reasons for oils’ effectiveness en vivo is their lipophillic character – essential oils are easily absorbed into mammalian tissues, where they may produce the greatest results. In fact, when studying the anti-viral effects of essential oils, researchers found that normal cells seemed to acquire a special resistance to viral penetration, though the mechanism for this effect is not yet known.

Melissa and the Herpes Virus

One of the Lamiaceae plants studied, Melissa Melissa officinalis – also known as Lemon Balm, was shown particularly efficacious against the herpes virus HSV. Doctor Dietrich Wabner, a professor at the Technical University of Munich, has even reported that a one-time application of Melissa oil led to a complete remission of HSV lesions. A cream medication for Herpes outbreaks, who’s active ingredient is an extract of Melissa, is now sold in Germany under the name Lomaherpan. Use of Melissa essential oil itself may be just as effective – the oil can be applied directly to the lesions or diluted to 10 in carrier if sensitivity is noted to speed healing. Further occurrences can be prevented by applying oil to the area when sensations signal an eminent outbreak – repeating this protocol 3 or 4 times has been reported to cause total remission in some individuals.

Other essential oils found effective against the Herpes virus include bergamot, eucalyptus, lemongrass and tea tree. Related to HSV is Herpes Zoster or ‘Shingles’, another common virus-mediated skin condition. Application of a 5050 blend of Ravensara essential oil and Tamanu nut oil has been found extremely effective for reducing symptoms by many people.

Antiviral Components of Oils

The list of essential oils exhibiting antiviral effects is extensive Melissa as above, tea tree, juniper, eucalyptus, thyme, palmarosa, lavender, rosemary, clove, laurel, cinnamon bark, anise, rose, lemongrass, geranium, neroli, bergamot, clary sage, and dill. The antiviral effect of an essential oil is due to particular components of the oil – some oils will work just as effectively on a particular infection as another, because they contain similar amounts of a certain component. The components of essential oils showing antiviral activity, and the oils in which they can be found, are as followsfrom K. Schnaubelt, Ph.D. – Advanced Aromatherapy, p. 36

Anethol – found in Anise
Alpha-Sabines – found in Tea Tree, Laurel, and other oils
Beta-Caryophyllene – found in Lavender, Rosemary, Thyme Linalool, and other oils
Carvone – found in Dill
Cinnamic aldehyde – found in Cinnamon Bark
Citral – found in Melissa, Lemongrass and other oils
Citronellol – found in Rose and Geranium
Eugenol – found in Clove
Gamma-Terpinene – Found in Juniper, Eucalyptus, Niaouli, Tea Tree and other oils
Linalol – found in Lavender and Neroli
Linalyl acetate – found in Clary Sage, Lavender, Bergamot and other oils

Limited In-Vivo Data

Good studies of application of these essential oils in cases of illness are difficult to come by, as infecting people with viruses in the laboratory to subsequently be treated with aromatics would be a difficult process at best. The oils and components above have mostly shown effectivenessin-vitro, though tests also indicate that the anti-viral effect should occur in-vivo as well. As with Melissa, it has been HSV that has been most thoroughly examined, because of the relative simplicity of doing so. But there is nothing particularly special about the herpes virus, and proper oilpathogen paring should prove as effective.

There are some noted case studies by professional aromatherapists. Of importance in these studies is the oilsymptom relationship. Essential oils from plants of the Myrtaceae family – notably Eucalyptus Radiata and Tea Tree – and Ravensara also high in Eucalyptol seem to have helped in cases with respiratory symptoms. For the lower respiratory tract, Hyssop decumbens from the same plant family as Melissa has been of interest. Essential oils for such cases may be used either in a diffuser, being taken at regular intervals, or through massage, diluted in a carrier oil.

Conclusion

Because of the difficulty in many cases of illness in determining the exact virus type involved, more specific application cannot be given. Certainly, in cases of HSV, Melissa has been shown effective in a number of studies. For respiratory infections, Eucalyptus and Ravensara have been used with success, and can be safely used as an adjunct to regular medical care. These oils may support one’s recovery on a physiologic level – essential oils also play a part in uplifting emotions, which may also speed healing, or at least improve mental outlook during the healing process. For such instances, one may simply find the essential oil or combination that one finds pleasant, calming, andor uplifting. PLEASE NOTE In no cases, however, should self-treatment with essential oils be used in place of professional medical care where signssymptoms of infectious illness are present.

Show Reverence For Your Body The Practice Of Gratitude And Affirmations

When creating a system of self discovery, it is important to turn all negative thoughts into positive functional awareness. First its important to take a full body inventory to establish all the parts of your body you love, and those you’re not so crazy about. After this is accomplished, what happens next?

In this article we’ll take a look at the importance of putting all of the body together as one unit; the importance of establishing a total positive body reverence and awareness. All the while however, it is important to remember the ultimate goal full body acceptance.

Here, I’ve outlined a three step process to integrate both the positive thoughts about your individual body parts and the functionality of your body, as well as to advance positive awareness for the parts of the body which you once thought about unfavorably.

Gratitude
The first step in the process of integrative positive self awareness is gratitude. It is important for the flourishing of positive body awareness and growth that you establish a sense of gratitude for where you are in the moment and what shape and form your body is in right now. In my opinion, this moves the focus off of the appearance of your body and shifts the awareness to its functionality.

During this first step, take time to appreciate the gifts your body has given you right now. Some questions to meditate upon include

What are the gifts that I have been given?
Do I acknowledge my gifts and appreciate them for the uniqueness that they hold?
Am I grateful for my gifts?

I believe that we are all given unique talents and gifts from the universe in order to complete our divine purpose. I also believe that we flourish when we use these talents we have been blessed with. With respect to the body, however, think for a moment What unique qualities does my body possess? Take a few moments each day to say “thank you” by using these particular parts of yourself. If you need a checkpoint Make note in your journal of your specific talents and the ways in which you use them.

Creating Affirmations
In effort to show love and reverence for your body, I love to use this secret weapon affirmations. What I love about affirmations is, they put the energy of the universe in motion based on your desire. Therefore, to nurture a positive reverence for your body, use this step as an exercise, as well. Here’s how Take the gifts you have noted above and create positive statements about them.

For example

Thank you for giving me the ability to write – I am so grateful!
Thank you for giving me strong fingers with which to type!

After you have completed your gratitude list, there is a second part of the equation necessary of your consideration Are you making time to use your gifts? As I’ve said before, I believe that when we use our gifts, the universe smiles. I believe this is the most important part in our growth – utilizing our own gifts.

Make a note of affirmation to yourself in your journal “Today I will find a way to utilize the talents for which I have been given.” Then, look for the subtle opportunities. Continue by making a list of ways you could contribute to the world with what you have to offer. I believe you will find what you focus on expands. You may even realize gifts you never knew you had!

Where the body is concerned, you can also use affirmations to turn your perceived subordinate body parts into strong and positive ones. Do this by becoming aware of your self talk. Are there parts of yourself for which you exude negativity? Turn these negatives to positives. Again, in your journal, practice positive self talk.

My body supports me, I love my body
My legs are strong and secure they support me, I love my legs

Continuing The Process Find Your Personal Best
It is important to make a constant and consistent effort to be aware of your body and speak to it in a positive manner. I believe the best and most concise way to do this is through your journal. A journal is your connection to the divine. When you write words on a page, tell yourself that you are sending a message to the universe, a memo to the divine.

Moreover, when you take time to reflect on yourself remember You are the only you there is. Make an effort to find your own personal best. Make a game of it Find the clothes you enjoy wearing and the activities you enjoy doing. It is important to be true to yourself in all that you do. Make this a fun process of self discovery the discovery of you!

In conclusion, continue your process of journaling and inventorying your body. Each day as you wake, thank your body for all the beauty and grace it provides. Love your body by being good to it, by resting it, exercising and practicing positive self talk. If you take care of your body be assured, it will take care of you.

Journal Exercises

In your journal choose 5 body parts you would like to focus on today
Create positive affirmative statements for each body part
Copy your affirmations to cards and carry them in your purse or wallet. When you get a free moment in your day, take time to pull out the cards and read the affirmations aloud or to yourself.

Here Comes The Sun And I Say It’s Alright

Tags: , ,

“Here comes the sun,” the Beatles chorused. And as children most of us heeded the call enjoying long lazy days in the sun, laughing and cherishing time with friends. As we grew older, however, we were told the suns rays were destructive; the ozone layer was near depletion. Soon many asked Why leave the house in the first place?

Is it any wonder researchers are finding us vitamin D deficient Ref. Harvard Health Letter 2006? To understand why this is significant it is first important to inquire What exactly does Vitamin D do? Yes, Vitamin D is necessary for strong bones and teeth, but what most dont know is it is key in reducing the risk of many types of cancer including breast, colon , prostate and ovarian Ref. The American Journal Of Public Health.

Studies now conclude that 15 minutes in diffused sunlight can set off the metabolic process in skin which creates vitamin D. Yet before tanning yourself beyond recognition use your head. This is not permission to stay in the sun for long periods as its aging qualities are still applicable. Limit yourself to 15 minutes and choose parts of the day when you are not in direct sunlight. You know, even on a cloudy day you are absorbing the suns rays and it can also penetrate through clothing. Therefore, if you do choose to increase your exposure; use common sense.

If the sun or outdoor activities are not for you, there are other options to stock up on vitamin D as well. Salmon is rich with vitamin D, for example, as is milk. Or you could opt for cod-fish based supplements with vitamin D added. These additions to your diet are well worth your time and research. As always, do your homework and consult with your healthcare provider to choose a vitamin D option for you. Perhaps a healthy dose of fun in the sun will be just what the doctor ordered.
